Pets/children: No pets just 3 girls, Claire 7, Shelby 5, and Delaney 6 mths.
Most relaxing activity: Vacationing with my family in my time share.
Last good movie/concert/event I saw: The "300" was really cool! I love special FX's of great adventure or acton movies that take you to another time, world, or place. Whether Medieval or Fantasy its all good!
Major accomplishment: I would have to say my family is my biggest and best accomplishment. Although I am out numbered 4 to 1, it is great being a Husband and a Father.
Favorite food group: Grilled food, what else is there?
If I won the lottery, I would: I'd payoff my bills, my brothers bills, and my parents bills. Invest a percentage and save for my girls education. Purchase several ranch style homes. Invest in a large YMCA in my local community of Garner. Make an offering to my church to assist them in paying for the church.
Favorite web site: Of course the NCSLA site is my favorite http://units.sla.org/chapter/cnc/home.cfm. What can I say, I like my work.
Last good book I read: Ted Tripp, "Shepparding a Child's Heart"
Most influenced by: My Mother, Father, and Brother
If I weren't a librarian, I'd be: A Barber. I have been cutting hair since I was 14 years old. I debated on whether I would get my licenses and try to open a shop.
What I really like about my job is: Autonomy. The freedom from my position allows my creativity to flourish.
My favorite SLA memory is: Not an SLA memory but a ALA memory of when I won the Spectrum Scholarship in 98'. It was like being inducted into some new kind of hall of fame.
Positions I've held or work I've done for SLA : Being the Webmaster is my first position for SLA.
The one thing I really hate to do at my job: My monthly reports. It is in a .xls file that I update weekly. Although it is very necessary, it is so time consuming to keep up with my projects throughout the month.
People would be surprised to know that I: I am not really a fan of college football or basket ball. Don't get me wrong, I love the games and I will go to see a live game anytime. However, I just can't follow teams or stay up with the players....On the flip side, I am a BIG time NFL and NBA fan.
