The North Carolina Special Libraries Association is a regional community of librarians and information professionals.
You can find our members working as directors, managers, researchers, and specialists in information centers, knowledge management departments,
reference desk, professional online and consultants’ services, for private and public companies, academic and government institutions, law firms, agencies, and much more.
Our chapter is an advocate for both members
and the places that employee them.
For our members we offer networking, workshops, knowledge sharing, continued education, job referrals, and more.
For our businesses we provide venues for promoting products and services, advertising, lead generating, and recruiting.
The term "Special" refers to the specialized or specialist services we offer.
Librarians and information professionals can assist with strategically improved decision making in an effort to generate or retain revenue through knowledge management and/or dissemination of information which may include information collecting, gathering, administrating, managing, referring, researching, analyzing, collaborating, marketing, web designing or developing, testing, and purchasing.
