MN SLA: Professional Development

MN SLA offers several opportunities for professional development throughout our program year.

In the spring of each year, MN SLA offers a continuing education program. Past topics have included "Copyright and Intellectual Property in Special Libraries" and "Developing and Demonstrating your Professional Value."

Throughout the year there are opportunities to participate in many of SLA's virtual seminars in locations in the Twin Cities. Topics of the seminars coming up include:

  • Work/life balance
  • Evaluating your strength & identifying areas for further learning
  • Negotiating: strategies & techniques
  • Initiatives for change
  • Impacting information flows in your organization

Please check our calendar for more information on these and other professional development opportunities.

If you have any ideas for professional development activities or programs for the chapter, please contact MN SLA's Professional Development Co-chairs, Mary Weber, 763.797.2143 and Margie Grilley.
