MN SLA: Donating Library Materials

 

Opportunities to Donate Library Materials

  • Those of you who work in medical libraries may be interested in donating journals and books to a teaching hopsital in Africa. Please mail your donations to Dr. Tim Meade, who will deliver them to University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia. Dr. Tim is the son of Betty Meade, a General Mills' Library & Information Services retiree.

  • If you have non-medical textbooks, encyclopedias, children's books or novels, please call Peter Gresser at 763-545-2708 for pick up. These books are sent to Jamaican schools and public libraries.

The U.S. State Department no longer accepts donations of used library materials for the Kiev Konnection, the program that MN SLA used to work with to send matierals to the libraries in Kiev.
