December 2007
Dear Chapter members,
As my year as president draws to a close, I would like to give special thanks to the other Executive Board and Advisory Board members, who have really done most of the work! Many people have been important, and there’s a danger of leaving someone out, but I’m going to do my best.
Thanks to the Executive Board: President-Elect Tracy Landfried, Past President Linda Hutchinson, Secretary Liz Scalia, Treasurer Will Hires, and Director Andy Zimmerman (who also serves as Membership Chair).
Thanks also to the Advisory Board: Archivist Nancy Perlman, Consultation Officer Kathie Sweeney, Diversity Chair Patricia Kidd, Public Relations Chair Chris Olson, Networking Chair Susan Fingerman (who also chaired Technology Day), and Webmaster Seán Henry.
Joining Susan in planning Technology Day were her committee members Peggy Carr, Ashley Conaway, Uta Hussong, Tracy Landfried, Liz Scalia, and Ursula Scott, together with other volunteers.
I’d like to thank also two of our leaders who had to step down during the year: Director and Bulletin Editor Connie McEowen and Bulletin Editor Uta Hussong.
We also remember especially Director Ruth Ann Humphreys, who passed away earlier this year. She contributed a great deal to the chapter and our members.
I also want to welcome our newly elected officers for 2008: Chris Olson as President-Elect, Sandy Levy as Treasurer, Ashley Conaway as Director for a 2-year term, Aryeh Cohen as Director for a 2-year term, and Judy Tapiero as Director for a 1-year term. Congratulations to them and best wishes for the coming year. They will join Tracy, Liz, Andy, and me as members of the Chapter Board.
Finally, I want to thank all the chapter members for your contributions and for giving me the opportunity to serve as president. I hope to see you at one of the events being planned for 2008.
Wishing you a happy holiday season,
Edna Paulson
