Chapter Membership

The Maryland Chapter of SLA represents more than 200 information and knowledge professionals who live and work throughout the state of Maryland. Members work in diverse organizations including corporate, legal, academic, medical, association and government settings.

Our members are subject specialists, medical and legal researchers, competitive and business intelligence experts, taxonomists, archivists, independent consultants, document and electronic records managers, technology specialists, database developers, information industry companies, internet & social network administrators, search engine experts, directors, knowledge managers, Chief Information Officers, and other types of professionals working in the fields of information and knowledge management.

Our chapter is composed of a dynamic and friendly individuals who meet approximately 4-5 times every year to network and learn at different venues and chapter events. At any meeting one can chat with employed and retired professionals, students, industry vendor representatives, members from local affiliated professional groups, and non-member colleagues interested in our chapter. An overview of our chapter and recent events and membership benefits is provided in our chapter brochure, Your Invitation to Join Us!
