Baltimore 2006 Volunteers - Thank You! Edna Paulson thanks chapter members and others, including members of the DC Chapter and University of Maryland students, who volunteered their time and talents to help with all the activities of the Local Arrangements Committee at SLA 2006.

 

President's Message Linda Hutchinson reports that over 5,800 participants descended on Baltimore to attend the 2006 SLA Annual Conference, and the SLA Maryland Chapter was ready!

Maryland Chapter Scholarships Awarded Thanks to the generosity of Betty Jo Hibberd of Dialog, a Thomson Business, the Chapter awarded scholarships covering the SLA registration fee to five students. 

Dine-Arounds Round Up The Maryland SLA Chapter hosted a dine-around on Tuesday evening during the SLA Annual Conference this year. If you missed it, Kathie Sweeney is here to tell you that you missed out on a fun evening!

 

Networking and Enrichment Successes: Reception & Tour Linda Hutchinson describes the great times had by all at the conference events sponsored by the Maryland Chapter: the Mid-Atlantic Joint Chapter Reception and the "behind-the-scenes" tour of the Enoch Pratt Free Library.

 

Welcome New Members On behalf of the Membership Committee, Carlotta Young and Liz Scalia welcome the 35 new members who have joined our chapter since March.
