The LaSoMi Newsletter is electronic:

Due to the high cost of producing and distributing a print copy of the newsletter, our newsletter is now available in electronic-only format.

The LaSoMi Newsletter is published four times per year in January, April, August and October. It is free to all members and the electronic version is available to all interested persons via this web page.

SLA guidelines prohibited advertisements from appearing on the websites hosted by SLA Headquarters if the print version of a newsletter was the main method of distribution.

Thus, any advertisements appearing in the LaSoMi newsletters up to the October 2001 issue will not appear in the portable document format (pdf) versions available on this site. Since we began producing our newsletter only in electronic format in January 2002, SLA allows for the inclusion of ads in the pdf version of that newsletter in this circumstance.
