We are currently seeking a professional librarian, reporting to the Manager, Scientific Information.

Principal responsibilities:

• Managing electronic content licenses as part of a global team and supporting Wyeth's virtual library system
• Supporting document delivery services worldwide
• Developing and implementing new solutions for efficient delivery of information services
• Responding to reference and research queries from scientists, clinical research, business and marketing personnel, and searching databases and other relevant scientific, medical, pharmaceutical and business sources and the Internet
• Providing training and assistance to users on the use of electronic resources
• Creating promotional and training materials such as newsletters, presentations and web pages
• Managing local subscriptions
• Monitoring news sources and alerts

 Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Library or Information Science, or Bachelor's degree in Science and experience in a scientific or technical library or information centre
• Experience providing library or information services in a scientific or technical environment, preferably in a pharmaceutical or health sciences organization
• Experience in the acquisition and management of online resources, such as electronic journals, electronic books and databases  
• Proficiency in searching online resources such as Medline, Embase, Biosis, STN, drug databases, Eureka, Factiva and the Internet, and knowledge of medical and scientific literature and sources  
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively in a complex, fast-paced global environment
• Effective written and oral communication and client service skills
• Familiarity with MS Office software and web page authoring tools
• Bilingual (English/French)
