Major consulting firm is
looking for an experienced information professional to join their Research
Services team. The Research Services Group supports the firm’s management and
consulting teams by providing high-quality, quick turnaround research and
information services. The position offers the opportunity to work with a
group of experienced pharmaceutical/business researchers who contribute to
important internal research initiatives and participate on consulting projects
as needed.
REQUIREMENTS: The
Research Analyst role demands excellent written and verbal communication skills
and the capacity to work effectively with requestors face-to-face or via phone
and/or email. The ability to interpret information requirements based on
an understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, to identify appropriate
resources for finding the desired information, to execute complex search
strategies, and to present the resulting information in a variety of formats as
requested, is essential.
An ALA-accredited Master's
Degree in Library Science is required. Experience using the information
resources unique to the pharmaceutical industry, including pharmaceutical
pipeline databases such as ADIS R&D Insight and Pharmaprojects, is strongly
preferred as is a thorough knowledge of business information resources.
Appropriate candidates will have one to three years of relevant work experience,
preferably in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company setting. The
successful candidate will also have the ability to competently multi-task and to
manage shifting priorities in a highly-demanding and fast-paced environment.
Well-qualified new graduates will also be considered.
