Job Description

This position will assist the product manager in administering literature searches and abstract reviews for Eisai marketed and investigational products, including reviewing the search results for pertinent articles, reviewing articles that describe possible adverse effects and product complaints, and distributing articles to appropriate stakeholders throughout ESI and EGC.

The Medical Research Specialist will manage intercompany (ESI, EGC, EMR, ERI) literature resources for Eisai marketed and investigational products, including ordering articles, entering literature references into database, and linking the electronic copy in the literature database.

This position involves maintenance of the Medical Affairs/Medical Services Resource Center including electronic journals, e-books, and database links in the Eisai Electronic Resource Library (EERL) and the Eisai Resource Information Center (ERIC), and all paper copy resources.

The role will manage scientific resources and agreements as the Eisai Inc. representative on the Eisai Resource Center team and will identify additional opportunities to leverage literature resources across Eisai companies and continue training on resource capabilities in EERL/ERIC for new and existing stakeholders.

This position performs annual literature searches for Eisai marketed and investigational products for Regulatory submission.

This role will extensively utilize Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and database software and will conduct broad internet literature searches.

This role will utilize medical terminology and involves both verbal and written communication with multiple departments and teams.

This position involves database entry, coding, file conversion, and electronic file management.

Job Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
2+ years experience in database software management and Adobe Acrobat
2+ years working in an environment requiring knowledge of medical terminology

3+ years experience in electronic project management

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet website management, Adobe Acrobat and Reference Manager.
