Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) has an immediate opening for a Training Manager in the Sales division.  The candidate will manage the CAS product training unit.  The incumbent manages the professional staff responsible for creating and delivering synchronous and asynchronous training to customers worldwide.  Responsibilities also include planning the CAS public training events and setting objectives for the effective and efficient development, delivery, monitoring, and continuous improvement of customer training.  In addition, the incumbent oversees and implements the new hire and ongoing education programs for Sales staff.  The candidate ensures that CAS and Sales training events and programs, curricula, and instructional materials are optimized for use by adult learners and meet organizational business objectives.

Job Requirements:

• B.S. in science
• MBA or advanced degree in science, education, or related field preferred
• 7-10 years of experience in management, technical writing, and technical training
• Sales and/or technical training experience
• Familiarity with instructional design principles
• Proficiency with CAS products preferred
• Experience with implementation of e-learning programs preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Experience Microsoft Office and e-learning development software
