On October 5, 2002 the Military Librarians' Group sponsored tours of the three Fort Belvoir area Libraries: The Van Noy Post Library, the Acker Library (Defense Acquisition University), and the Army Management Staff College Library.

An Oktoberfest Carnival was held afterwards, including activities featuring a German Army Band and Festival Area.
