Populating a Homeland Security Database

WHAT: Join the Military Librarians Group for an evening with Ms. Greta E. Marlatt, Information Services Manager, Naval Postgraduate School Library, as she speaks about the acquisition and management of content in their Homeland Security Digital Library [HSDL]. This Digital library effort is being funded by the Dept of Homeland Security to support a new master's degree program being offered to federal, state and local level homeland security advisors, emergency managers and first responders. The object of this effort is to locate, capture and provide access to a large collection of authoritative and relevant online sources covering all aspects of homeland security and defense.

WHEN: Tuesday, April 13, 2004 - Registration, networking, & cash bar begin at 6:00pm; dinner at 6:30pm; speaker at 7:30pm

WHERE: The Tivoli Restaurant, 1700 N. Moore St., Rosslyn, VA (Metro Orange & Blue Lines - Rosslyn Station; Validated parking available underneath building).

COST & REGISTRATION: Payment by check or by Paypal Account accepted. Make checks payable to DC/SLA. Send to Barbara at the address above with the form below. When paying by check also reply with an e-mail registration to ensure a space. Registration fees are not refundable when using Paypal or after the final registration date. The final registration date is Friday, Apr. 9, 2004.
