SLA Virtual Seminar

WHAT:  SLA Virtual Seminar - elearning: Fundamentals & Opportunities for Info Pros.  The speaker will be Stephen Abram, President, Canadian Library Association.

This virtual seminar provides an overview of e-learning concepts. What are the differences in academic and corporate settings? What roles can special librarians play in designing e-learning for information literacy? How can librarians partner with course developers? How can content be easily delivered to e-learning courses at both the course and lesson levels, as research services for distance education or developing digital course packs? The seminar explores opportunities for librarians to position their services in this emerging field and offers insights into how we can assist and add value to our organization's training and development strategies.
