DC/SLA hosts Beyond Marketing:
Consultative Selling Strategies for Information Professionals presented
by Anne Caputo, Factiva. Ms. Caputo is also the Chapter
Cabinet Chair-Elect of the SLA Board of Directors.
Marketing workshops abound but this seminar argues that marketing by itself is not enough; we need to go beyond marketing to consultative selling techniques to reach and persuade our management and our client base. Learn the basics of consultative selling, including call preparation and opening techniques, questioning and supporting your conversation and the all-important closing. Included are tips on making management presentations, persuasive language and use of the three minute elevator talk.
