Dinner and Book Signing with Author Anthony Pitch

DC/SLA members and guests are invited to join the Military Librarians’ Group of DC/SLA for dinner with author Anthony Pitch. Pitch will talk about his new book, They have Killed Papa Dead: The Raod to Ford%rsquo;s Theater, Abraham Lincoln%rsquo;s Murder and the Rage for Vengence. Released for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln, Pitch%rsquo;s study has received numerous favorable reviews in local publications who note the depth of his research and the inclusion of new, interesting details in his narrative.

WHERE:	Officer’s Club, Pershing Room Fort Lesley J. McNair Corner of 2nd and P Streets, SW Washington, DC METRO to Waterfront/Marina (green line) The METRO station is not safe after dark, so rides to and from Fort McNair will be available. Please let us know when you RSVP if you would like someone to meet you at the METRO station.
ACCESS:	Fort McNair is a military post under the jurisdiction the United States Army. All visitors must pass through security gates guarded by military police to gain access to the parade field. Please bring photo identification such as a Drivers License with you. The main gate at 4th St is closed after 5:00 p.m. Please continue along P Street to the 2nd Street gate if you are arriving after 5:00 p.m..
DINNER:	The meal will include salad, choice of entrée, vegetables, potato or grains, rolls, apple pie, and coffee or tea. Please select one of the following entrée choices when you register:    Pan-seared Chicken Breast with Raspberry Demi-Glace and Balsamic Syrup Chef’s Choice Pasta and Vegetables (vegetarian) The cost for either entrée choice will be $27.00.
BOOK SIGNING:	Anthony Pitch will have copies of They Have Killed Papa Dead for purchase at the event. The cost for the book will be$25.00. Payment will be accepted by check or in cash at the time of purchase.
REGISTRATION:	Please RSVP by close of business Wednesday, March 11. The Officer’s Club requires advanced notification of guests. Late registrants will not be accepted. At the time of RSVP, please specify if you would like a vegetarian meal, or if you would like a ride to or from the Waterfront METRO station.
