DC/SLA members and guests are invited to join the Military Librarians’ Group of DC/SLA for Twilight Tattoo, a performance showcasing military history, music and drill. Presented by the U.S. Military District of Washington, soldiers from the 3rd U.S. Infantry (the Old Guard), the Army Blues Jazz Ensemble, the U.S. Army Chorus and the U.S. Army Chorale will share with you traditions of the United States Army from colonial times to the present. | ACCESS: |
Fort McNair is a military post under the jurisdiction the United States Army. All visitors must pass through security gates guarded by military police to gain access to the parade field. Please bring photo identification such as a Drivers License with you. Food is not permitted on or around the parade ground. You may bring bottled water. Large bags and packages, similarly, will not be permitted at this event. |

If the weather looks threatening, you can call 202-685-2888 to determine if the performance has been cancelled. A decision will be made by 3:30 pm. If the June 4 performance is cancelled, the Military Librarians’ Group will be gathering the following week on Wednesday, June 11 instead. |
