Langer Eric S. Langer

Eric Langer has over 19 years experience in biotechnology and life sciences  marketing management and market assessment. He is an experienced medical and  biotechnology market practitioner, strategist, researcher, and science  writer. He has held senior management and marketing positions at  biopharmaceutical supply companies.  He teaches Biotechnology Marketing,  Marketing Management, Services Marketing, Advertising Strategy, and  Bioscience Communication at Johns Hopkins University, American University,  and lectures extensively on pricing and channel management topics. Mr.  Langer has a degree in Chemistry and Masters in International Business. He  is co-founder and Managing Partner at BioPlan Associates, Inc. a  biotechnology and life sciences marketing company that has been providing  market strategy and analysis to biotechnology and healthcare organizations  since 1989. He has launched marketing programs for product lines ranging  from $5 million to $500 million. He works with both large and small clients  in commercial biotechs, non-profit organizations, and governments in  assessing and evaluating markets, and marketing strategies and tactics. He  has published, edited and authored numerous books, reports, and major  studies, including: large scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing,  Biopharmaceuticals in the US Market, cell culture reports, media, sera,  tissue engineering, stem cells, diagnostic products, blood products,  genetics, DNA/PCR purification, blood components, and many other areas. He  has developed management programs for technical organizations, including  customized organizational analysis, managerial needs assessment, and  workshop facilitation.  He has developed numerous courses, classes and  seminar programs, including Marketing Technical Products, Biosciences  Communication, and TechniManagementT--Managing the Technical Organization. 





Susan Maney Lovett
 
Susan Maney Lovett started her writing career with Mickey, Minnie and the gang - Mickey Mouse, that is. Assigned to six general managers, Susan tackled a variety of writing projects ranging from scripts and speeches to publicity to environmental impact studies. Whatever the managers needed, Susan wrote. Since leaving the mouse, she has been the communications director for a national nonprofit association and launched her own company.
 
Lovett founded The Right Word, LLC, a full-service writing and editing studio, in 1998. Her clients have included the National Geographic Channel, PBS, Nordstrom, America Online, The United States Army, Bank of America, Department of Defense, NASA, International Service Agencies, SpaceHab, Video Solutions, EFX Media, Visual 7 Films, Detail Productions, and many others. Currently, she is completing a feature-length documentary and in development on a new television series.
 
Her specialty is helping producers, directors and businesses find the right word for any situation. She writes scripts, speeches, corporate materials, brand marketing pieces, public relations campaigns, web sites, and other collateral materials. She also consults on screenplays, manuscripts and brand marketing campaigns. In addition to these services, she has written three nonfiction books and continues to write articles for local and national publications. Her print work has appeared in such publications as the Wall Street Journal, Woman's Day, Chicago Tribune, LA Times, and other top publications.
 
Lovett holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and Music. She is the president of Women in Film & Video of Washington, DC and is a member of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and Washington Independent Writers.




Miller
Rachel Miller

Rachel Miller is a Technical Writer for Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. (CCSi), a Software Development company located in Rockville, Maryland.  She has eight years experience writing, editing, and managing documentation in the IT Industry.  Prior to joining CCSi she worked on a contract for NASA, and was the Documentation Coordinator for OSHA’s Directorate of Information Technology.  Ms. Miller grew up in West Virginia and earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Marshall University.  She also minored in chemistry and is a Registered Phlebotomist with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.  Outside of work, Ms. Miller is an avid reader, and enjoys writing poetry, creative non-fiction, and is working on her first novel. 




Tom
Baldwin Tom
           
Baldwin Tom is the Managing Partner for The Baldwin Group, Inc. (TBG).  He has built a business focusing on organizational change, process redesign, performance management, and development of change leadership infrastructure.  Dr. Tom compiled a 27-year success record in shaping private and public sector organizations.  His professional knowledge is in training management, planning for change management using tailored workshops and planning processes, vision development assistance, teaching teamwork skills, redesigning organizational factors to support change, and project management.

For 11 years, Dr. Tom served as the leadership trainer for middle managers, providing tools and strategies for leading oneself, leading teams and leading organizations.  For 10 years, Dr. Tom was a trainer for Basic Management and Strategic Planning for the United Way of America, leading teams through best practices for implementing organizational change, structural recommendations, and improving the strategic planning process. He was trained as a facilitator by the firm that wrote the book, “Making Meetings Work.”  Thereafter, Dr. Tom developed the Strategic Facilitatorsm course and has trained over 500 managers in facilitation skills that include process tools, strategy tools, and collaboration tools. Prior to starting his firm he was an executive with an international consulting firm, specializing in performance measurements and metrics, utilizing both competency and compatibility factors. 

Dr. Tom is a Certified Management Consultant, the preeminent designation earned in the management consulting profession.  He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Management Consultants USA.  He holds Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Biochemistry and Immunology, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
