Web Site Mission

The mission of the web site is to provide information to SLA Boston membership about their chapter and the national association. Suggestions on additions or alterations to the web page are welcome and encouraged.

The web presence was created in 1995 while planning for the Annual Conference held in Boston in June 1996. The web site currently includes general information about SLA Boston membership, such as contact information for committee members, job postings and events for the calendar year. An archive of meetings, and meeting presentations is in the beginning stages. The newsletter is now available in electronic format.

Viewing the Site

This site is best viewed with the latest version of either Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer. The site is designed for screen resolutions of either 800x600 pixels or higher. The default font should be set to "medium" on Internet Explorer or size 12 on Netscape Navigator.

File Formats

There are several meeting presentations installed on the web site in PowerPoint format. To view these files, you must have a copy of the Microsoft PowerPoint software on your computer. Alternatively, you may download a free PowerPoint viewer. The newsletter is available in Adobe PDF format. A free Adobe viewer is available for download.
