General Summary:
The OneSource Content group consists of Content Managers, Content Engineers and Content Integration Specialists who develop systems and intelligence that transform raw data feeds and databases from information partners into standardized, value added sources in the OneSource Content Warehouse. The Content group is responsible for the evaluation/analysis of potential new sources, the normalization of data to a common schema, and the application of the proprietary OneSource Global Business Taxonomy to the incoming content.

We are seeking a Senior Content Manager focusing on unstructured text data providers.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Lead large cross-functional projects through to completion.
2. Develop and maintain significant internal and external relationships (vendors and clients).
3. Mentor more junior Content Management staff.
4. Apply content expertise to as yet undefined opportunities; help to shape them and enable OneSource to deliver more complete intelligence solutions to clients.
5. Analyze potential data sources based on business unit requests for new content.
a. Assist directly in evaluating client needs/options and provide content expertise in support of new solution initiatives
b. Maintain and apply detailed knowledge of content options and features within unstructured text/news categories of information
6. Take lead role in adding new sources to the OneSource virtual content warehouse a. Develop functional specifications for mapping/normalizing data variables and load new content sources into an interim data repository or format in preparation for publishing to the OneSource content warehouse
b. Specify how taxonomy elements are applied to new data sources and how taxonomy improvements are applied to existing data sources.
7. Provide project management for all unstructured text projects working closing with database engineering staff
8. Work with Quality Assurance to develop test suite for new content sources
9. Develop documentation of new sources added to content warehouse:
10. Update/maintain the definitions of published data elements, databases,and fusion sets
11. Provide appropriate communications and detailed content support to business units and to Sales and Support
a. Work closely with Product Managers to provide appropriate details on new data sources enabling the Product Managers to write functional specs and client announcements
b. Handle detailed content questions that cannot be answered by phone support or the Product Managers
c. Provide detailed content training, when appropriate

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
1. Proven subject matter expertise within the news arena
2. Awareness of commercial data sources used in the business information community such as company profiles, industry research, news and articles
3. Knowledge of news and company content sets
4. Experience with solutions-oriented initiatives such as outsourced content management and/or consulting for internal data management.
5. Structured reasoning/problem solving and analytical skills
6. Utilization of strong Project management skills and process-oriented methods in approach to assigned projects
7. Working knowledge of Oracle, SQL language, data query and analysis tools, web architecture, XML and Windows 98/NT systems
8. Excellent troubleshooting, collaboration, communication and presentation skills

Education and Experience:
BS/BA degree in applicable business discipline – a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
4 - 7 years of relevant work experience
