Position: Pharmaceutical Information Analyst
Organization: Sepracor Pharmaceuticals
Location: Marlborough, MA

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Performs competitive research and analysis in support of R&D and Commercial Operations, including the Business Development and New Product Planning groups.
-Monitor the competitive landscape in therapeutic areas relevant to Sepracor interests daily.
-Distribute timely alerts about developments with Sepracor competitor products and companies.
-Prepare pipeline tables for requested indications, by incorporating current information from Sepracor-subscribed pipeline databases as well as press releases, pharmaceutical newsletters and commercial databases.
-Provide additional current awareness for projects and teams.
-Perform scientific literature and business searches upon request.
-Provide literature searches on Sepracor products and drugs in development towards regulatory submissions, updates, and safety reports.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
-Education and Experience
-MIS/MSLS required
-Science background desirable
-Extensive experience with functions as described above in a pharmaceutical information center -situation, or in an independent consultancy, is required
-Thorough knowledge of medical, scientific and business databases, including pipeline databases, is required
-Excellent skills with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, are desired
