Description:
The OneSource Content group consists of Content Quality Managers and Content
Integration Specialists who develop systems and intelligence that transform
raw data feeds and databases from information partners into standardized, value
added sources in the OneSource Content Warehouse. The Content group is responsible
for the evaluation/analysis of potential new sources, the normalization of data
to a common schema, and the application of the proprietary OneSource company
and industry taxonomy to the incoming content.
Working as part of the Content Quality Management team, the Content Quality Manager will have a focus on analyzing data sources, project management, and relationship building both external and internal. The successful candidate will possess sharp attention to detail, excellent communication skills – verbal and written, and a high-level of energy and sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities:
*Analyzes potential data sources
*Directly assists in evaluating client needs/options and provides content expertise
in support of new solution initiatives
*Maintains and applies detailed knowledge of content options and features within
selected categories
*Able to successfully lead a moderately sized project through to completion
with minimal assistance
*Develops specifications for mapping/normalizing data variables and loading
new content sources into a data repository or format in preparation for publishing
to the OneSource content warehouse
*Specifies how taxonomy elements are applied to new data sources and how taxonomy
improvements are applied to existing data sources
*Provides project management for data loading projects working closely with
content engineering staff
*Works with Quality Assurance to develop test suite for new content sources
*Develops documentation of new sources added to content warehouse
*Updates/maintains the definitions of published data elements, databases, and
fusion sets
*Provides appropriate communications and detailed content support to business
units and to Sales and Support
*Works closely with Product Managers to provide appropriate details on new data
sources
*Handles detailed content questions that cannot be answered by phone support
*Has ownership of vendors in specific functional area (i.e. executive)
*Has responsibility for significant internal relationships (e.g., support, QA,
etc.)
*Maintains data vendor operational relationships including processing of Database
Issues or Problems; actively monitors data quality and takes action when appropriate
*Keeps an open dialogue with vendor to identify and provide input on potential
new licensing opportunities that expand relationship
*Applies content expertise to as yet undefined opportunities; helping to shape
them and enabling OneSource to deliver more complete intelligence solutions
to customers
Requirements:
*BS/BA degree in applicable business or a combination of education and equivalent
work experience
*2-4 years of relevant work experience
*Awareness of commercial data sources used in the business information community
such as company profiles, industry research, news and articles is helpful
*Structured reasoning/problem solving and analytical skills
*Some project management skills and process-oriented in approach to assigned
projects
*Working knowledge of SQL language, data query and analysis tools, web architecture,
and XML
*Excellent troubleshooting, collaboration, communication and presentation skills
