Library Associates Companies (LAC) seeks Training and Member Services Coordinator on behalf of our client, a leading computer library service center located in Washington D.C. The ideal candidate is an experienced trainer with a strong customer service orientation and understanding of e-learning methodologies who will provide training, support, and services to libraries and cultural heritage institutions in Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Responsibilities:
•Training
(50%): design, development, coordination, delivery and assessment of training
annual training plans and courses in support of member needs.
•Member
support and relations (20%): Provide members with membership, product and service
support through email, telephone, conferences, seminars and workshops.
•Works
in collaboration with other client staff, client centers and regional network
providers to develop programming and provide services. (10%)
•Stays
abreast of client product development in order to effectively communicate and
support member services, trends and sales. (10%)
•Develops
and manages new member/new service training activities to ensure effective use
program. (10%)
Qualifications:
•MLS or similar background and experience in libraries and/or information
industry
•Experience in e-learning methodologies
•3-5 years of professional experience in a training capacity
•Knowledge of adult learning theory and practice
•Extensive library and information industry knowledge
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Experience working in a team environment
