Dr. Shawky Salem Training Grant for Arab Specialists in Library and Information Sciences Annual grant for a national of an Arab country to be trained in an aspect of modern technology in library & information science in one or more Western countries for a period of one and three weeks.
Engineering Information Foundation Grant Programs including libraries/info. services support Funds projects that make it easier for engineers to find and use information. Includes bibliographic instruction, support for acquisition of information systems, or support for Internet connectivity in the developing world.
Free Space on the Internet for African non-profit sector (Service) Kabissa is a non-profit capacity-building organisation that seeks to further democratic change and social justice in Africa by providing a space on the Internet for the African non-profit sector. Eligible non-profits get free membership accounts, including standard e-mail mailboxes, FTP accounts, web space, mailing lists.
Fulbright grants for visiting scholars Scholar grants for advanced research and university lecturing in the U.S.
Guust Van Wesemael Literacy Prize Biennial prize to recognise an achievement in the field of literacy promotion in a developing country.
Hans-Peter Geh Grant for IFLA Conference Participation To sponsor annually a librarian from the geographic region previously called the Soviet Union, including the Baltic States, to attend an IFLA seminar or conference.
IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship Annual 4-week intensive education program for library & information science professionals from countries with developing economies, to come to OCLC, Dublin, Ohio. Covers Information technologies, library operations & management and global cooperative librarianship.
International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) Subsidy Subsidy for members of IFIP from developing countries to attend IFIP events or purchase IFIP books.
Internet Library for Librarians Acquisitions, Serials, and Collection development:
Book donation programs.
OCLC/ALISE Library & Info. Sc. Research Grant Research grant for faculty in schools of library & information science. International proposals and collaborative projects are encouraged.
Postgraduate Training Fellowships for Women Scientists Fellowships for women scientists in Sub-Saharan Africa and Least Developed Countries (LDC) at Centres of Excellence in the South by Third World Organization for Women in Science.
Regional server programme (RSP) for institutions in Asia (Asia-Pacific Development Information Programme) RSP makes available to selected organisations, web site hosting, mailboxes, list servers, FTP services in a simple to operate and remotely controlled service.

U.K. Grants for participation in international research activities Research grants for U.K. organisations to improve the provision and use of information services (including libraries) within the U.K. The importance of forging links with the international community is recognised. U.S. Dept. of State Humphrey Fellowships A Fulbright Exchange activity program. Brings mid-level professionals from developing countries to the U.S. for a year of academic study and professional experience.
U.S.-Mexico Fund for Culture (Libraries component) Financial support to outstanding binational (Mexico-USA) collaborative projects involving the recuperation, cataloguing and/or digitalization of documentary collections related to the arts and humanities, and of historical archives which are open to the public in Mexico and/or the United States
