January: Gay and Lesbian Issues Caucus (GLIC) was formally recognized as a caucus at the 1995 SLA Winter meeting.

June:  Annual Conference - Boston, MA

Richard Hulser and Rowan Fairgrove volunteer as Co-conveners for 1996-1997

Webweaver, Rowan Fairgrove, launches caucus' first website.

1997

June:  Minutes from the Annual Conference - Seattle, WA

Conference program consisted of a slide presentation by two representatives of the Northwest Lesbian and Gay History Museum Project.

June:  Annual Conference - Indianapolis, IN

Caucus co-hosted their first annual conference programs- "Forming Employee Groups" and  "Prejudice in LC Subject Cataloging."

Winter: The Board of Directors approved the reauthorization of the Gay & Lesbian Issues Caucus effective from the Winter Meeting of 2000 until the Winter Meeting of 2003.

2001

April: Information Outlook publishes SLA Caucuses: Creation, Purpose and the GLIC
Howard Fuller discusses the beginnings of SLA Caucuses with past president Didi Pancake, and the specific beginnings of the Gay and Lesbian Issues Caucus with Richard Hulser.

June:  Annual Conference - San Antonio, TX

Robert Hulshof and John DiGilio volunteer as Co-conveners for 2001-2002

August: At the August SLA board meeting, the Board of Directors approved name change from the Gay and Lesbian Issues Caucus to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Issues Caucus (GLBTIC)

June: Annual Conference - Denver, CO

Chris Mulready and Eric Schwarz named Co-conveners for 2007-2008

Guest speaker is Ellen Greenblatt, Associate Dean, Technical Services, University of Colorado at Denver, co-editor of the 1990 ground-breaking book Gay and Lesbian Library Service.

2008

May: GLBTIC unveils a blog: http://sla-divisions.typepad.com/glbt/

June: Annual Conference - Seattle, WA

Eric Schwarz and Chris Vestal are Co-conveners for 2008-2009

Guest speakers are from the Northwest Lesbian & Gay History Museum Project, which seeks to collect oral histories, locate photographs, ephemera, objects and documents; work with archives to ensure the preservation of these materials; and create public programs to communicate the collective experience of LGBT people in the Pacific Northwest.

GLBTIC member, Daniel Lee, is named one of the recipients of the SLA Diversity Award.

Fall 2008: Daniel Lee is voted onto the SLA Board of Directors.

2009

June: Annual Conference - Washington, DC

Chris Vestal and Laurie Krunk are Co-conveners for 2009-2010

Guest speaker, Charles Francis, gave a talk entitled Archive Activism about the collection and historical significance of the papers of gay rights pioneer Frank Kameny.

GLBTIC Co-convener, Eric Schwarz, is named one of the recipients of the SLA Diversity Award.

2010

Feb: SLA Names Reece Dano and Christopher Vestal as Rising Stars.

June: Annual Conference - New Orleans, LA

Bacilio Mendez II and Karen McQuillen are Co-conveners for 2010-2011
