Ellen
Greenblatt is currently Associate Dean for Access,
Collections, and Technical Services at Auraria Library, a
unique library located in downtown Denver, which serves
three institutions: the University of Colorado at Denver and
Health Sciences Center Downtown Denver Campus; the
Metropolitan State College of Denver, and the Community
College at Denver. Previously she worked at the State
University of New York at Buffalo, and Princeton University.
Active in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and
queer/questioning (LGBTIQ) librarianship for over twenty
years, she co-edited Gay and Lesbian Library Service,
published several articles on LGBTIQ issues in
librarianship, compiled several thesauri, and serves on the
EBSCO LGBT Life Database Advisory Board and Center for
Lesbian and Gay Studies International Resource Network
Library Advisory Board. She also teaches an online
graduate-level course on "LGBTIQ Resources and Issues" for
the School of Library and Information Science at San Jose
State University.
Ellen will speak about her book, her
teaching experiences, and other adventures in LGBTIQ
librarianship.
